Kick.com is a relatively new streaming platform that launched in October 2022 and has experienced significant growth since then. Popular with a diverse range of users, it is notable for making a profit in its first quarter of existence.
While it has started well, the platform faces a lot of work to surpass Twitch, the current market leader. To help them achieve this goal, Kick has adopted a bold strategy of attracting its most prominent content creators with lucrative deals.
This approach has been very successful so far, with many streamers and viewers switching their allegiance from Twitch to Kick. Indeed, as of June 2023, the platform averages around 235,000 livestreams every day.
Below are ten of the biggest deals the company have made so far, (figures quoted in Australian dollars).
10. Roshtein ($1.5 Million)
At number 10 on this list is Roshtein, a well-known personality famous for his streams of casino gambling. He recently shifted to Kick.com to continue creating content related to online gambling.
While the actual deal figures are not formally disclosed, it is known that Stake also sponsors Roshtein and receives certain endorsements. He frequently streams with Drake, who is an exclusive partner of the online casino featured on their streams.
Roshtein currently has 131,000 followers on Kick and is known for streaming himself playing online slots, which is thoroughly enjoyed by his fans.
9. Corinnakopf ($1.55 Million)
Corinna Kopf was the first popular woman streamer to make the move to Kick from Twitch. She is quoted as saying she made the move mainly due to the freedom in streaming content that the new platform offers.
Like with Roshtein, the details of the deal she signed with Kick are not 100% clear and there is some ambiguity as to whether she receives payment from both platforms or just from the sponsored online casino, Stake.
That said, she does have over 88,000 followers on Kick and earns a significant amount of money from subscriptions. So she is making a tidy sum.
8. GMHikaru ($1.97 Million)
As well as being a popular streamer, GMHikaru boast the distinction of winning the USA chess championship on five separate occasions.
He joined Kick in March 2023 after signing a non-exclusive contract. In doing so, he announced his new streaming channel on Twitter but was at pains to clarify that he was not leaving Twitch permanently.
With over 1.8 million followers on Twitch and only around 57,000 on Kick, his presence on Kick is expected to grow as the platform gains more traffic and higher earnings. However, that hasn’t stopped him from attracting thousands of viewers to his streams due to his entertaining content, which suggests that he will continue to attract new fans to Kick.
7. Destiny ($1.5 – 4.5 Million)
Destiny is another streamer who recently joined Kick.com. He signed a non-exclusive 12-month partnership deal with Kick.com that is reportedly worth a few million dollars.
Prior to joining Kick, he used to stream only on YouTube, as he was suspended from Twitch. However, since his move, he now has over 44,000 followers on his Kick channel.
As part of his partnership deal with the platform, Destiny will no longer stream directly from his website. Moreover, his viewers can only participate in live chat discussions on Kick.
6. TrainwrecksTV ($30-35 Million)
As he was the first streamer to join Kick.com, it is fair to say Trainwrecks helped the platform start on the right foot. He signed up as a non-owner advisor and non-exclusive broadcaster in a mega deal with the platform.
During his live streams, he promotes Stake.com, an online casino that has the same co-owner, Ed Craven, as Kick. During a previous broadcast, he mentioned that he makes about $1 million for his casino streams just from Stake. However, this merely represents the tip of the iceberg.
5. Amouranth ($45-60 Million)
Amouranth, is a popular female streamer, has recently joined Kick and signed a deal reportedly worth between $45 and $60 million. During one of her streams, she expressed concerns about Twitch potentially pushing out content creators.
Presently, she has over 92,000 followers, but her audience is likely to grow even more since she has over 6.4 million followers on Twitch. Kick will also benefit from this major deal, as Amouranth is possibly the most popular female streamer around the world.
She streams a wide variety of content, including gaming, Just Chatting, IRL and ASMR.
4. Dr. Disrespect ($75 Million)
There were a lot of rumours that Dr Disrespect would be joining Kick after receiving a permanent ban from Twitch during the summer of 2020. Now, three years after the ban, he has signed a deal with the platform worth $50 million.
Although he is reported to be excited about joining the platform, he plans to balance his streaming
time to three days a week, due to also owning a game studio which takes up a lot of his time.
You can catch him playing battle royale games like Call of Duty, PUBG, Fortnite, and more – his video content is amusing.
3. BruceDropEmOff ($120 Million)
Coming in at three is BruceDropEmOff, who is another significant player in the streaming industry.
He signed a deal with Kick at the end of May 2023, following several bans on Twitch. The deal’s worth is estimated at around $100 million on the new streaming platform for two years.
He is renowned for his engaging and entertaining content and is expected to increase the platform’s traffic significantly. Already, he has gained over 237,000 followers since opening his Kick account, thanks to his streaming of games such as FIFA, CS:GO, A Way Out and Street Fighter 6.
2. xQc ($150 Million)
Felix Lengyel, better known as xQc, is another streamer who has recently signed a deal with Kick, believed to be worth $150 million.
The official deal will get him around $105 million for two years on the platform, but it can raise up to $150 million with incentives. This type of deal is akin to the deal an elite sportsperson gets from the big teams.
Ryan Morrison, xQc’s agent, confirmed that this is one of the biggest deals in entertainment. It was certainly one of the most anticipated because around two weeks after he joined Kick, he gained 390,000 followers.
xQc content is all about gaming. He is by far and away one of the most prominent streamers on the planet, so it seems certain he will attract scores of new viewers to the platform.
1. Adin Ross ($225 Million)
Topping this list of the highest-paid streamers on Kick is Adin Ross who was one of the first to make the switch from Twitch to Kick. In doing so he signed the biggest streaming deal in history, with a stunning worth of around $225 million.
With more than 470,000 followers on Kick, Adin Ross has become the most followed streamer on the platform. Post-deal, he has been actively persuading other popular streamers to join Kick, which could be part of the deal or a separate effort to earn extra income.
Regardless, he is set up for life thanks to this deal.
